Grainger is hiring for Warehouse Order Picker Driver

The Warehouse Order Picker Driver is responsible for safely operating powered industrial equipment to retrieve and transport materials within the warehouse. This role ensures the accurate and timely picking of customer orders while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Picking and Transporting:

• Operate powered industrial equipment, such as order pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks, to pick and transport items.
• Accurately select and retrieve products based on order specifications.
• Verify product numbers, quantities, and quality to ensure order accuracy.

Inventory Management:

• Replenish stock in designated warehouse locations.
• Perform inventory checks and report discrepancies.
• Assist in cycle counting and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Safety and Maintenance:

• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while operating equipment.
• Conduct pre- and post-operational checks on equipment and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with team members to meet order deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding order issues or inventory discrepancies.
• Assist with additional warehouse duties, such as packing, sorting, or loading, as needed.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure that picked items meet quality and packaging standards before shipment.
• Report damaged or defective products to the supervisor immediately.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  • Previous warehouse or order-picking experience preferred.
  • Experience operating powered industrial equipment is required; certification is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Comfortable working on elevated platforms using order picker equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Exposure to varying warehouse conditions, including heat, cold, and dust.
